Mark has been working on the frontiers
of digital marketing for more than a decade. While in college at the University
of California at Los Angeles, he worked with Virgin Records to spearhead
marketing campaigns in Southern California for recording artists such as
Massive Attack and The Smashing Pumpkins. At the Rosebud Agency, then a
music-industry icon, Mark promoted artists including Santana, Van Morrison,
J.J. Cale and Ben Harper on the web, in the earliest blogs and with
then-innovative electronic press kits. More recently, at Premier Retail
Networks (since renamed IZ-ON Media), he deployed the company’s innovative
in-store video marketing and advertising platform to promote musicians directly
in retail stores via satellite. The platform, deployed in retailers like
Walmart and Sam’s Club, reaches so many consumers that Nielsen, the
